About Tricia
Tricia is a writer and nature connection facilitator. Her debut nature memoir Greenhood: the delight in being dormant is coming out soon.
She is an ecologist with a PhD in threatened flora conservation.
After working in threatened species management for over twenty years (much of that time for state government) Tricia grew tired of shuffling deck chairs and changed tact.
These days Tricia hosts nature connection gatherings for women and strives to inspire people to rethink the way they live through her writing.
Tricia recently stepped into the President role of her local Landcare group—acting on her belief that we need to relocalise our conservation efforts.
She’s kept a foot-in-the-door of her nature conservation work through science communication, and despite stepping away from a full-time research role more than twenty years ago—still co-authors the occasional research paper.
Tricia grew up on the south coast of NSW and now lives in the Hunter Valley in a tiny home on a bush block with her husband Mike and teenage daughter Liv.
